CANYONING
Fun, adventure and an unforgettable experience
Enjoy a spectacular activity with your family and friends
Find refreshment in the river during the hot days

WHAT IS CANYONING?

During canyoning you follow the adventurous path of the river. You will walk through the river bed,

slide from natural slides and will descend through the water of splashing waterfalls.

EXPERIENCED AND CERTIFIED GUIDE

The ever smiling Rodrigo Moraga knows all the secrets of the river. He is a certified canyoning guide and has almost 20 years of experience. With humor, enthusiasm and patience he has guided hundreds of families and groups into their adventure.

CANYONING GEAR

You will wear a wetsuit, a harness with sliding pants and a helmet. These will be provided by Coeur De Montagne. You need to dress like if you would go to the pool: tight fitting swim suit (no shorts), a pair of trainers that can go into the water and you bring a towel and dry clothes. Coeur De Montagne has shoes in various sizes available, but do bring your own if you can.

Are you wearing glasses? Take them off. For people with a minus (-) correction there are swimming goggles available at Decathlon in Scionzier if needed.

PHOTOS AND VIDEOS

Coeur De Montagne provides cameras free of charge to capture your unforgettable experience. These cameras will be placed on top of your helmet. For 10 euro you can buy the micro SD card with all your photos and videos such that you can share and edit them according to your liking.

FOR WHOM?

Canyoning is suitable for all people with basic physicial condition. Families, groups, couples: everybody can join the adventure. For children the minimum age is 6 years, they will love it! The maximum group size is 10 persons. When your group is bigger, please contact us, such that we can find you a solution.

Sometimes, the mother of the family is hesitating to join, but after the activity they are often the most enthusiastic and the most proud of themselves and their children. For those who do not want or dare to join there is a path alongside the canyon that can be followed, such that the activity can be shared after all.

LOCATION, GATHERING, TIME AND DURATION

Coeur De Montage would like to bring you into the Canyon de Balme, along the Route de Flaine. You will take your own car to arrive at the gathering spot at the start of the canyon. This is a 30-40 minute drive from Flaine. You will follow the road to the valley and you will pass the villages of Les Carroz and Arâches-La-Frasse. At five hairpins after Arâches-La-Frasse you will see the silvergrey trailer of Coeur De Montagne on the left side of the road. This is where you will park your car and where you will get equipped.

TAKE CARE NOT TO LEAVE ANY VALUABLE ITEMS IN YOUR CAR

Once the group is complete and ready for the adventure, all drivers will drive their cars down to the endpoint of the canyon. The remainder of the group stays at the start of the canyon and waits until the guide comes back with the drivers. Now the adventure can start for real!

A canyoning session takes half a day and always starts from the gathering spot.

- morning session: gathering at 08:00

- afternoon session: gathering at 12:30
